| Why settle for engraved when you can have
etched for the same money. Etched metal nameplates are excellent sources for short run as well as high volume products. The background or the copy can be etched and filled with color for contrast. Etched metal nameplates offer crisper detail and greater copy depth than engraved. Etched zinc has the greatest etch depth, (.030" ). Stainless, aluminum and brass have an etch depth of .005" - .010" depending on the metal that you select.
